Learn how to make Mughlai Chicken at home with Chef Smita Deo on Get Curried

4 tbsp Ghee
4 Onions, chopped
1 Bay leaf
2 Green Cardamoms
1/2 Cinnamon stick
1/4 cup Cashew paste
1 tsp Red Chilli powder
1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
1 tsp Garam Masala powder
1 kg Chicken
2 cups Water
2-3 tbsp Fresh Cream
For Cashew Paste:
1/4 cup Cashew Nut, soaked
4 Green Chillies,
1 inch Ginger
5 Garlic, cloves
Method of preparation:
In a vessel, heat ghee, add onions, saute till they golden brown.
Once the onions cool down, transfer them into the mixer jar and grind them into a paste.
In the same wok, heat ghee, add whole garam masalas, fry them for a few seconds.
Add the ground paste, cashew paste, saute it till the raw smell goes away.
Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder and saute it for few seconds.
Add chicken, saute it for 3-4 minutes on high flame.
Add water, salt, give it a mix, cover and cook till the chicken is done.
Add fresh cream, mix well and our Mughlai Chicken is ready.
