Christmas fruit cake recipe || plum cake recipe

Ingredients :

All purpose flour/maida : 250 grams
Brown sugar/powdered Demerara sugar : 250 grams
Eggs : 5
Butter : 250 grams
Baking soda : 1/2 tea spoon
Baking powder : 1 tea spoon
Almonds : 30 grams blend into a fine powder
Orange juice : 110 ml
Zest of one large orange

Mixed Dry fruits : 300 grams (I used glazed cherries, dates, tutti frutti,raisins and sultanas, you can use prunes and crane berries)

Dry nuts : 100 grams (I used almonds, cashew nuts and walnuts)

For spice powder :

Nutmeg : 1/2
Inch size cinnamon sticks : 4
Cloves : 8
Ginger powder : 1 tea spoon

I used 100 grams salted butter and 150 grams unsalted butter, if you are using 250 grams of unsalted butter then add 1/4 tsp of salt with dry ingredients

Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature
